Having no way to recapture the attack, he, together with his team, consisting of Chloe’s navigator and the universal advanced Vergald android, Elena, urgently, with a violation of the pact about non-led worlds, is evacuated to the surface of a nearby planet-Aster IV, where local residents who were not very fled by the development of the Middle Ages. Having collected the remains of the belongings that Elena managed to put into the neighboring rescue capsule and secured the support of the Aborigines, Rei goes to look for his team scattered around the area and find out what made the federals give a fat volley on his incredible ship.

… Princess Letiya Auserius, having enlisted the support of Cuzen Theo, along with his bodyguard Albert, poisons on a trip in search of Master Midas, the owner of the most extensive knowledge about technology and sympathy, to convince him to continue working on a secret project that will help in the fight against the neighboring, hostile Empire Vu’il. As soon as she stepped on the lands of Larkassia, a star falls from the sky and puts on the ground in the form of an unknown machine, from which, suddenly, a person comes out. He communicates with invisible opponents, speaks of strange things, uses outlandish planks and desperately wants to find his missing companions. Realizing that the goals of Reimond are in the same plane with its goals, Letiya asks him to make her company on a mutual basis: he and Alberd help to find the missing crew, and Reimond helps Letiya to find Midas.

The Divine Force has one story on two heroes: each of them, through the eyes of the player, will see only his half of the story. Whose fate is to make – we are free to choose before the first plot scenes.

Star Ocean has always been a kind of “Tales of about space” for me Star Trek, just an owl on a globe strung on the Ajrpg genre, with appropriate attributes and entourage. If you rejoice with your hand in the memoirs of this famous cosmooper, you can repeatedly stumble upon a series where the heroes are brought to attend planets, on which the development of human civilization began much later than the earthly or stuck at some historical stage. This idea, seasoning with the elements of fantasy (and, as you know, unknown technology is indistinguishable from magic), actively, with filigree grace, exploits Star Ocean: From time to time, a blaster stumbles on a sword and from time to time it turns out to be wrapped in an interesting story with bright characters.

The Divine Force is faithful to all the covenants, amusing the burned fans with references and thoughtful references: Tower fans Star Ocean will be glad to very pleasant development of the subsidies of previous games. One of the characters with Known in the framework of the last name I was pleased with my legacy even me who passed the final three chapters Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness On YouTube (due to the monstrously clumsy design of the development of characters and completely wild leaps in complexity-even on Easy-after the chapter 8).

In general, my acquaintance with the series always broke about the obsolete or too demanding Game Game design: then “go there, I don’t know where” The Last Hope , where I naturally climbed onto the wall from trying to focus on the ground and try to understand what the game wants from me, then as in Integrity and Faithlessness – You can’t get a devil without grind. The player has the desire to grind all the side effects, all the objects and look for all the scenes, before the final, he builds an impenetrable wall from indestructible ordinary enemies before him, not to mention reinforced concrete bosses. Either you go to look and go against desire in general everything that I missed in the previous locations to get the necessary skills, or you drop the game.

The Divine Force is not a simple release. "Jubilee issue", dedicated to the 25th anniversary Star Ocean, which, in a good way, should set a new bar of the quality of famous games from Tri-Ace. And, I want to note that progress is obvious: the level of Quality of Life is raised to modern standards in almost everything, with the exception of side quests, where the player again meets the old-good “go and understand for yourself, where what is” ”.

The game, to my great joy, does not require grind, does not require passing all side quests, does not require to seek and look for all side scenes, does not force to swing everything in a row in search of the right subclasses. On the contrary: carefully indicates the goal, protecting from winding circles by locations, allows itself to go through only the main plot and increases the requirements for tactics, development and equipment only at a high level of complexity. For example, on “Easy”, for fans of playing games for the sake of history, two points are enough: +/- understand how the mechanics of pumping/battle work and always keep actual equipment at hand.

History immediately, with the choice of the hero, takes a peppy start: in the very first minutes he pushes his forehead with opponents and, literally, introduces the bosses after half an hour. The question "Who to play?»Completely given to the player who is not limited by only two protagonists: all the characters from the existing party are available to him. Those who did not fit into 4 cells of the active group go into the reserve.

The battle mechanics in the game are a typical slasher Ajrpg like the legendary YS, seasoned with the possibility of a flight on a high -tech drone D.U.M.A., to which new battle mechanics are tied. If the early games of the series were somewhat reminiscent of the hard-turgeized RPG with the need to correctly alternate the attacks, now the battle is more like a real action, where a wave of weapons can be produced in any direction, including past the enemy.

The feast of effects https://casinoplaymillion.co.uk/withdrawal/ did not allow me to effectively capture Leticia, waving two swords in a wedding dress.

As in the previous Star Ocean, The skills learned in a tree can either be assigned to keep a button, or combine them into a series of attacks, pressing the same button up to three times in a row. From the point of view of combinatorics, this opens up a lot of opportunities for the beautiful analysis of opponents for spare parts by different series of strokes, but can play against the player if each such attack is quite massive, taking a lot of time and depriving the opportunity to avoid it. The attacks \\ skills themselves and their series can only be used when there are unsettled Actions Points, which are either restored independently (for this it is enough to go to slow running for two seconds, stop dodging and not waving weapons), or with the help of skills / objects of the character or his allies.

Armed with the best affordable armor and swords of Leticia, riding.U.M.A., rushing to attack the local dragon

The maximum amount of AP here depends on the player’s ability to use D.U.M.A.: the drone knows how not only to raise the character into the sky, but also to make swift attacks with a sharp evasion to the side. If you manage to get such a “strap” into the enemy’s blind zone, he will receive bonus damage when impact, and the character – additional AP points to build a combo. Initially, a maximum of 5 points is available, and with maneuvering and applying critical damage, this amount can be stretched to 15, which is critical in battle with local bosses, which are best driven as often as possible from the strokes suitable for their speed of impacts. And here the punishment system comes into business: The Divine Force brutally punishes the incoming damage and misunderstanding of the enemy patterns, gradually throwing off points up to 5 if the character receives a blow to the blow. With five glasses, the boss picks up with a fair amount of suffering and for a very long time, since the same attack with D.U.M.A. Already removes one point for climbing into the air. In general, the local combat system is a high-quality jerk forward, and, for my taste, the best combat system in the franchise, which is great supported by the local II, which finally ceased to be an artificial idiot and finally began to help in battle.

This development system is incomparably clearer and better than the nightmare that was happening on Integrity and Faithlessness, where it was necessary (!) to pump some skills to discover other skills, and absolutely without understanding what will be open once again. It was a brutal lottery at a personal time for a grind in battles.

Talents of talents in The Divine Force greatly resemble their analogues from Dragon Quest Xi: Echoes of an Elusive Age: Exactly the same hexes with stats and skills that open access to the skills on neighboring hexs. It is also important not to forget to spend the skills that saving in battle and the skills themselves are active and passive, which are added in effectiveness. D.U.M.A. The pumping is separate and is associated with the collection of special amethystal crystals, which can be found in a variety of corners of the local world – even on the roofs of buildings. This is almost a separate entertainment in the framework of the game, as long as you get to the next place of the development of events – crystals are often located so that you need to crush a little gray matter to figure out how to get them. By the way, the collection of crystals for pumping d.U.M.A. I inspired me with very pleasant memories of the Gravity Rush dilogy .

Crystals for d.U.M.A., which can be seen on the left, sometimes located with some tricky fiction.

To achieve maximum efficiency in battle, especially on the complexity of the “average” and higher, it is extremely desirable to master crafting, which will gradually gain access to subprofesses such as an alchemist, blacksmith, engineer, which make it possible to create objects: first -aid kits, boosts, improvement of objects, drawings, changing the status of weapons and even the creation of weapons and equipment. Access is open thanks to an eccentric character, which in the English version is voiced by the same voice as Neptune From Hyperdimensional Neptunia – she is just excellent eccentric. Moreover, it is curious, at a low level of complexity, this mechanics can be safely ignored and pass with that equipment and those recovery items and a boosts that are sold in stores.

And here I want to make a conversation about the characters. The main castes are very good, is firmly knocked down in a confident team and has in every possible way to itself, causing a desire to learn more about their personalities and backgrounds. But the secondary, including all the antagonists, is pretty limited to both legs. For example, the local “villains”, for my taste, too theatrical and too stubbornly believe in their ideas about the best world, which does not add depth and drama to them. At the same time, their vocabulary often comes down to the ability to pronounce their ideology several times for passing, which puts them, in my opinion, in the category of “absolutely cardboard”. This, by the way, is almost a generic feature Star Ocean: In Integrity and Faithlessness, the situation was no better.

In contrast to them, the main characters, including those side effects that are full of brightness and volume on their side. You believe in the Albert’s Central National National National University, Raymond’s Podolbay behavior, in the neat and restrained manners of Letiya, in the almost humanity of Elena and in the personal corners of Midas, who, in fact, has matured up to 40 years, is too arrogant and does not know how to express feelings, but at the same time loves everything new and technological too much. As in the cheerfulness and determination of the local doctor, Nina, regardless of her sad past, as well as in the sad Mine of Flying Flying, the king of Raimbot Auserius forever regretting her actions.

Elena, despite the fact that android is a real charm. And, often, the voice of reason for the whole team.

However, the whole story, immersing in personal dramas and global conflict, is served very, extremely uneven pace, constantly throwing the player into different gradations of enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Then you sit almost 15 hours in a row and you can’t drop it from the screen, then after half an hour you want to get distracted by something else, because the dynamics is sharply packed, and the characters need to make some banal or turn into slightly tightened corridors. I don’t want to say in this way that history is boring, no. It’s just that the final there is a feeling that it was written either in a different mood of the spirit, or different people. It is important to mention that the pace seemed to have been influenced by the fact that the game was divided into two separate passages: in the course of the main story you can find a number of large scenes, where Ray and Leticia are suitable through completely different, completely non-intersecting each other and meet each other only in the final of each such event, already experiencing something that is completely unknown to the current character. For example, Leticia will not know what happened to the Ray and Elena, as long as Midas helped to restore her. Like Reimond will not be aware of everything that was happening with Leticia in the castle of Vu’il.

Not the best way is affected by the chamber of the project. During the passage, I did not leave that the game was trying to give out more than they can give: the authors are smeared to a scale that they cannot afford because of the budget allocated to the draft, which is why, for example, large-scale medieval battal scenes contain modest 15-30 seconds of the interruption, and scenes of cosmic battles often take place in the format of films of the 60s: somewhat spectacular personnel with explosions with explosives with explosives and maneuvering and, then – there are a lot of technical vocabulary with the distribution of teams and observing the interface of the ship, which are interrupted by new persons, unexpected incidents or, at all, the outcome of the battle. Closer to the very end, events seriously lose on a scale, driving almost to personal drama.

Tri-Ace, Despite their name, they showed themselves far from a technical system: a version for XSX On Twitter, only lazy. However, not only did they have to mess with two generations of iron, but also conjure with the iron of the overseas “Ekusobokus Series Ix” and “ESU”, which resulted in a good version for PlayStation 5 and bitten shakals – for Xbox Series X, where the programmers seemed to forget about the fact that XSX – The current generation console, sharpened under 4k and collected a version with 1080p for it with a crooked pixel apceleing with greetings from terry pixel indie. Fortunately, I bought a version for PS5, which works great in performance mode in stable 60FPS with rare subsidence. But the “quality” mode looks too “chopped” due to the lack of at least some Motion Blur-playing is completely uncomfortable. Someone does not like this effect, but in 30FPS mode this effect allows you to add smoothness to the image so that it does not crash into the eye with each screen update. And, it is worth noting good work with HDR. With high -quality TV or monitor, allowing to accurately transmit the brightness of individual sections of the screen, the picture will receive even more depth – verified.

But the visual style has: it is hypertrophied, three-dimensional-aminal, with a recognizable handwriting for the series. The characters are excitedly stylized, however, they have a lot of landfills and qualitatively collected, physically correct materials. The clothes of the same princess Leticia often look almost like a high -quality CGI from a good American blockbuster. Animations-a mixture of manual and Motion Capture, and the facial animation got stuck somewhere in the past, sending greetings from the Jrpg of the end of the sixth and seventh generation of consoles. In total – nothing particularly outstanding.

But not to look at this nightmare without tears. This, if that, the sea. Or the ocean. In any case, it is a water surface that should be. water surface?

At the same time, The Divine Force is surprisingly contrasting with the quality: completely oak fog and water are located near very beautiful forests and dense thickets of grass. Separate shots are almost photorealistic, and a number of others make the PS3 era recall the era. The same can be said about the musical accompaniment: the composition of the venerable Motoy Sakuraba They do not stand out anything: they are absolutely classic for Star Ocean, The functional through and through, it feels that the composer was impressed by the writing of the soundtrack to Valkyrie Elysium: every now and then familiar notes and passages of flute while traveling in wooded areas are found.

The best neckline of the game, deservedly, at Elena’s screenshots above. Nina gets confident second place. Nearby, you can confidently put the puffy Mariell and Malkiy, but their clothes, alas, without a neckline.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force is difficult to recommend to all Jrpg fans: this is an optional, but good game that is able to immerse and entertain the combat system, travels and characters, but can fill up with boredom, throwing antagonists, a couple of illogical puzzles at levels and side quests, which are completely wrong Respect the player’s personal time, forcing him to vacuum the area without a single marker or hint and be sure to write down where you can find this or that enemy whether the subject. A pleasant visual style with almost photorealistic flora contrasts with low quality of individual effects such as water and fog, since the characters plus or minus are united in terms of the quality of models and animations.

The game confidently pulls on conditional 7.5 out of 10, representing a kind of alternative Tales of “Cosmos” with their aesthetics, troubles and history. She is much more licked than her predecessors, but at the same time inferior in everything last year’s delightful Tales of arise .

P.
